I came across Steve after searching the internet for someone to make me a live edge slab table.
I had gotten several quotes and worked my way through the "phonies" on Craigslist selling tables for amazing prices that were of low quality or had not been dried properly.
Through this education I learned like many things, you get what you pay for. That said, with Steve I feel that I got tremendous value.
I could not be more pleased with the table!
It absolutely makes the room and the compliments we get on it are endless.
In the future I will have him do a matching bench for the table.
If I compare what I paid for a completely custom table made from a local tree to something from a high end furniture maker there is no comparison.
Furthermore, this table is timeless and will go to my children.

I visited his shop as I was in the area and he showed me his Kiln and various slabs of wood and educated me on the process and what to expect.
I could see that he was an artist who is about quality and not quantity and he takes great pride in his work. I decided right then to commission him to make me a table.

After giving him my somewhat unique dimensions and explaining what I wanted he got to work on it. He kept me informed as he was going through the process and explained that he wasn't satisfied with the drying process so it would take a little longer to finish the job.
Again, this attention to detail is rare to find nowadays. He sent me a few photo's of the table in various stages as it went along.
I asked him to build the legs for me as well which added to the price but was well worth it.

When the table was complete Steve asked me to come and pick it up in a van.
We ended up coming in a pick up truck and he would not let us leave his shop until he had covered it in blankets, plastic, and bits of styrofoam to keep it firmly in place.
It took three of us to lift it into the truck. When we finally got the table to our house we had to remove the legs and three strong men struggled mightily to get it up the stairs and into the dinning room.
I would recommend that you have three to four people to help you get it into your house.
The fact it was so well wrapped protected it as we moved it.

In closing, I wholehearted recommend Steve to anyone looking for a top quality table that you want to last a lifetime.
I had very high expectations going in and the table blew them away.

Having just bought the property of our dreams,
we wanted a magnificent dining table to fit our dining space and accommodate large numbers of family and friends.
By searching ‘live edge’ and ‘wood tables’, willgoosewood.com appeared, and next thing you know, we got to meet Steve and Rocket (the dog) at the shop.
We learned about the process of making a slab table.
Fortunately for us, Steve had a table underway whose dimensions were just right.
 We were sold.

Every moment of working with Steve has been wonderful.
His passion for his craft is palpable, and his skill is second to none.
Steve kept us apprised of his progress with it, and we were invited to see its development.

When it was finished, seeing Steve’s pride in his work was as good as putting the table in our dining room.

Now we’re busy thinking of other places we can put some of Steve’s work.
